Ferrari has unveiled the Ferrari Amalfi Spider, a new front mid engined V8 convertible that combines performance, open air driving and everyday usability. Presented in Maranello on 12 March 2026, the model expands the Amalfi family with a 2+ spider.
Ferrari describes the Amalfi Spider as a car that blends elegance, driving pleasure and practicality.
V8 powered spider
At the heart of the Ferrari Amalfi Spider is a 3855 cc twin turbo V8 from the F154 engine family. In this latest configuration it produces 640 hp at 7,500 rpm and 760 Nm of torque between 3,000 and 5,750 rpm, with a redline of 7,600 rpm.

The engine is paired with Ferrari’s eight speed dual clutch transmission, which has been further refined to deliver faster and smoother shifts. Ferrari has also improved turbo management and engine calibration to enhance throttle response and power delivery.
Fast operating soft top
One of the defining features of the Amalfi Spider is its fabric soft top, which opens in 13.5 seconds and can operate at speeds of up to 37 mph (60 km/h). Ferrari chose the soft top solution to preserve the car’s elegant proportions and to keep the design consistent with the coupe.

The roof folds into a compact space only 220 mm thick, helping maintain useful luggage capacity. Boot space measures 255 litres (9 cu ft) with the roof closed and 172 litres (6.1 cu ft) with the roof open, making the Amalfi Spider one of the more practical Ferrari convertibles.
The soft top uses a five layer fabric structure designed to deliver acoustic and thermal insulation comparable to a retractable hard top, helping maintain comfort when driving with the roof closed.
Design and open air comfort
The Ferrari Design Studio, led by Flavio Manzoni, created the Amalfi Spider with a fluid and minimalist approach. The car retains the coupe’s long bonnet, clean surfaces and sculpted rear design while adapting the structure for the soft top.

A new launch colour called Rosso Tramonto has been introduced for the model. Inspired by the light of the Amalfi Coast at sunset, the shade features subtle orange undertones that emphasise the car’s sculpted surfaces.
For open top comfort, the car features an integrated wind deflector built into the rear seat backrest. Operated at the touch of a button, it reduces turbulence and improves cabin comfort during roof down driving.
Technology and driving dynamics
The Ferrari Amalfi Spider introduces several advanced vehicle dynamics technologies. A brake by wire system improves braking precision and pedal feel, while ABS Evo enhances stability and braking performance across different grip conditions.

These systems operate within Ferrari’s Side Slip Control 6.1 architecture, which coordinates multiple dynamic systems to improve control and driving precision.
Aerodynamic performance is also supported by an active rear wing integrated into the tail of the car. The wing has three positions that automatically adjust depending on speed and driving conditions, increasing stability and downforce when needed.
Interior and usability
Inside, the Amalfi Spider features a dual cockpit layout designed to create separate but connected spaces for driver and passenger. A key update is the return of physical buttons on the steering wheel, along with the iconic aluminium start button.

The digital interface includes a 15.6 inch instrument cluster, a 10.25 inch central touchscreen, and an 8.8 inch passenger display. Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and wireless smartphone charging are all supported.
The 2+ seating configuration also improves practicality. The rear seats can be used for children or additional storage, reinforcing the car’s focus on versatility.
Balanced Ferrari convertible
The Ferrari Amalfi Spider is designed as a balanced open top Ferrari. With a powerful twin turbo V8, a fast operating soft top, advanced aerodynamics and practical interior features, it combines performance with everyday usability.

Rather than focusing only on extreme performance, Ferrari has aimed to create a convertible that delivers excitement, comfort and style in equal measure.
