Ferrari absolutely stole the show at the 2025 24 Hours of Le Mans. This marks three wins in a row for the Prancing Horse, so let’s dive into 7 fun facts that make Ferrari’s latest Le Mans victory one for the books!
In case you missed it, the AF Corse team’s Giallo Modena-liveried Ferrari 499P #83, driven by Yifei Ye, Phil Hanson, and Robert Kubica, crossed the line first.
1. No even victories since 1994

No team has won an even number of overall Le Mans races since 1994. From Dauer Porsche and McLaren in the mid-90s to dominant runs by Audi, Porsche, Toyota and now Ferrari from 2023 to 2025, every winner keeps pushing the odd total higher. Racing curse? Could Ferrari break it next year… or will the odd-number streak roll on?
2. Ferrari trained in the dark

According to Ferrari's race report, the team trained specifically for night driving, even simulating sleep-deprived, high-stress scenarios. When darkness fell and visibility dropped, the #83 Ferrari 499P drivers were prepared for whatever came their way.
3. Historic firsts for China and Poland

Robert Kubica became the first Polish driver ever to win overall at Le Mans. Not to be outdone, Yifei Ye became the first Chinese driver to take the top spot at the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
4. 60 years later, Ferrari's back in full force

This is Ferrari’s first time winning three Le Mans races in a row since the 1960s. Back then, they dominated from 1960 to 1965 with six straight wins. The last of those came with the iconic Ferrari 250 LM.
5. Ferrari is closing in on Audi

Ferrari’s no stranger to the Le Mans winner’s circle. With 12 overall victories, they’re sitting in third place on the all-time list. Just ahead are Audi with 13 and the endurance king, Porsche, with 19. With their latest win, Ferrari is closing in fast.
6. The sweet revenge

Back in 2011, Robert Kubica was all set to join Ferrari’s F1 team, but a devastating rally crash shattered that dream. Then, in 2021, he and Ye were very close to winning their class at Le Mans, until a last-lap electrical failure ended it in heartbreak.
7. Ferrari gets to keep this trophy

The Le Mans 24 Hours Trophy weighs nearly 70 kilograms and travels in a custom Louis Vuitton trunk. Created in 1993, it comes with a twist: any team that wins three in a row keeps it permanently. Audi’s done it three times, Porsche from 2015–2017 — and now, Ferrari joins that elite club.
