The colour was commissioned in 1997 to celebrate Scuderia Ferrari’s three-year partnership with the luxury brand house Asprey. It made its debut at Asprey’s “purple party” on Bond Street in London, an event that perfectly matched the car’s distinctive finish.
Rosso California

The exact origin of the name is not officially documented. However, it may reference the Ferrari 250 GT California, an open top V12 grand tourer from the 1950s that was developed specifically for the American market.
